Backstreet Secrets

CHAPTER 3

It wasn't too bad at the airport. Only two fans recognized them, and they wanted Lauren's autograph. But they ended up asking for Nick's too. He didn't mind signing two or three autographs, as long as there weren't a hundred fans around him. Thankfully there wasn't many people that day, because they didn't have any bodyguards with them when they were on vacation.

"Want to put some music on? You know I need some when I'm in a car." She said.

"Sure. Hmmm, what about Journey's Raised On Radio?"

"You made me listen to that album at least a thousand times." She looked inside her backpack. "Mariah Carey's latest album?."

"I'm not really into that..."

"Bryan Adams' greatest hit?"

"That's the stuff." He said. "Put it in."

They listened to the CD while driving down to Nick's house. They talked a bit about the tour she'd just finished. Nick was used at being on the road all the time, but Lauren wasn't. Secrets had only been popular for a year, maybe less. But they were almost as popular as the Backstreet Boys. Everybody loved them. And when you got to know the Secrets girls personally, like the Nick and the other Backstreet Boys did, you loved them even more. They had that little something that made hearts melt when they sang.

Lauren said that the Backstreet Boys had that, too. They had that little thing that made some people react strongly. Nick didn't quite understand it until he saw Secret's show for the first time. They were amazing. That's the night he fell in love with Lauren, but he didn't tell her that. Sometimes he wondered if what he felt for her what was some fans felt for the BSB. He figured out it wasn't, because he knew her personally.
