Bone the movie? Please no! I'm as excited as anyone about the prospect of Bone becoming a sensation via a movie adaptation, but the finished product will inevitably dissapoint true fans of the book. The very fact that it will be Disney flick almost garuntees radical changes in character traits and story structure. In my wildest dreams I thought that Bone would be very successful in its own medium, without having to sacrifice what makes it so magical. The idea of a movie repulses me (even though I'll be in line to see it) because it won't be able to please the o d fans, and it may not have any success in generating new ones. Certainly we can not hold the powers that be back, but we should not kid ourselves. This movie could really suck (and I'm hoping it won't) so brace yourselves. |

There's also the sourcebook(which is about $10, and you can get at any comic store) and that has a bunch of background behind the comic. As for echniques, I wouldn't know where to go w/ that, but maybe you should ask the nice people at Boneville. They usually answer. Good Luck! |

I couldn't believe my eyes. I thought for a minute, 'cuz The price seemed quite high to me. (with the import and all) I bought... Fone Bone!!! As soon as I was home, I unpacked the figurine and h ng the back-pack on Fone's back, looked at Bartleby and sighed... DAMN! I should have taken the other one (Smiley) too!!! Niki, I have heard a rumor that the Bone Movie STILL hasn't casted voices yet, is that true? I mean, Jeff did say that back on Turkey Day, but man, when is this production supposed to come out? And why has Jeff sp ead out his publication dates so far? I know about the eye thing and he probably is backed up with the movie but... Also, when I talked with him in November he had some good news. Up till November, Rugrats was Nickelodeons big center stage movie, but s nce they make so few, Bone is now the HIGHEST PRIORETY for the movie department, and Jeff said that he wasn't worried about a shake up or anything, so it looks like it's going to be a great movie. I know because I just bought him today (Another Universe's manager showed it to me, bless his soul). I would like to know if anyone out there has hear anything about this variant, as there are no distinguishing features/numbers/codes/whatever on the box. Also, I noticed that the pictures of Smiley bone show him holding a cigar, but the models don't come with it. Anyone know anything about this? |

Lucky for me, I know the manager there, and asked him to save me a set of the figures when they came in (that was about 5 months ago). They finally came in a few da s ago, and man, do they rock! "Another Universe" has a web page at www.anotheruniverse.com, where you can order the Smiley, Fone, and Rat Creature figures. As I said, The Cap'n Ahab Phoney Bone is limited edition, so it might be harder to find him. |

Thorn isn't out yet, but I got my hands on Fone, Smiley, a Rat Creature (who comes with Quiche!), and a limited edition Phoney Bone as Cap'n Ahab. These are very high-quality action figures, I must say. They come with tons of extra bits too, like the Possum kids and Bartleby! Woohoo! |
