Coarse Language, Nudity and Superheroes in Ottawa?! Naaa...

Prelude To The Redhead is a self-published mini comic book series for Mature Readers which I produce out of my home in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. "Mini Comic Book" is probably a misleading term, since it's really digest-sized [5.5 x 8.5"] and there are proportionately smaller comix being produced in pretty much the same manner I produce my series. Namely, drawn and/or lettered by hand, photocopied and stapled into books, then sold through indie-friendly shops or by direct mail order.

Each issue of Prelude To The Redhead contains at least twenty-eight ad-free pages of hand-rendered continuous tone black and white art illustrating a completely original storyline. There will be six issues making up the "Prelude" portion of the saga, before the main series begins. It will simply be called The Redhead and will continue until I run out of story or fall off the planet - or both. "Continuous Tone Black and White Art" refers to my discovering an economical way of allowing a true scale of grey tonal ink washes produced on the original artboards to be cleanly reproduced along with solid blacks and crisp whites, using an ordinary photocopier. The gorgeous and unique results speak for themselves.

How Do You Get It?

If this series is not available at your local indie-friendly shop, you can receive copies of Prelude To The Redhead through direct mail order. This material is for Mature Readers, meaning that you must be 18 years of age or older and must provide a complete statement of age with your order. This series contains coarse language, graphic violence, some nudity and superheroes. Your price is $2.50 CDN [$3 US, L3 UK] plus 40% S&H per individually signed, bagged and boarded copy ordered through direct mail order! Foreign funds and cheques are accepted.*

*There is a minimum thirty-day manditory processing period on all cheque payments in non-Canadian funds, and a minimum ten-day hold on all other personal cheques. Your order will be mailed to the address you provide, once processing is completed.
