I value life and I think that everyone else should too. To start, I will define the word value. According to the "New Webster's Dictionary", value means: worth; utility; importance; import; precise signification. To rate at a certain price; to estimate; to esteem; to prize; to regard. To me, value is when you have something that is so dear to you that you would do almost anything to keep it whether it is a concrete object, an idea, or a state of being.
I value life more than anything else in the world and I will always value it more than anything else. The reason that I value life so dearly is that I only have one, so I had better make the most of it. In life there are no second chances, if you were to die in an automobile accident no one will be there and say, "Well, it wasn't his fault. Maybe we should give him another chance at life." And then you magically come back to life. That just doesn't happen no matter how good of a person you were or how holy you were. Death is final and it happens to everybody. That is why I value life so greatly.Life should be of the utmost value to everyone. It does not matter how bad your life is at present because things can change and it can always get better. If you were to commit suicide, you would never have the chance to see your life get any better. Even thought there are always bad times, the good times out weigh the bad ones by far. When you do not value your life you become miserable and that affects everyone around you. It usually affects them by making them feel bad and sorry for you. If you were to kill yourself that would not solve anything. If anything it would make things worse for you loved ones because of the grief that you would be giving them. So by not valuing your own life, you can ruin the lives of others. In closing, you should value your life, and if you don't value it for yourself, then you should value for the sake of those you love.
