Open heart, Closed eyes by Laura Rose

----------------------------------------------------------

This frosted film across my eyes,

Preventing my retina from seeing the truth,

Is mirrored on my heart.

Like ozone in the stratosphere,

It filters the good from the bad,

But yet not always the lies from the truth.

I see this figure,

The one I love,

Through the blurred perspex,

The shrapnel and dust,

My heart is open like a flower in bloom,

Yet my eyes,

My spiritual eyes inside my soul,

Are blinded by the desire,

To love,

To be loved,

By friend,

By foe,

Forever.

Yet a moments glance is no proof,

A new moon,

On tomorrows crystal sky,

Will show the true rainbow,

That yesterdays rain obscured,

And when you see the star of destiny go flying by,

Do not hold your hands up,

For your destiny is your own to make,

Your chances to take,

If you do not look beyond the first star,

To the depths of the universe,

Your heart will break.

Reality can only be viewed from outside,

Love is but a drug,

To take everyone of us into a trance,

A greater high,

But you must come down,

If you are ever to reach your paradise,

Do not force feed your heart with motions and fantasy,

Breath different air,

View a different scene,

Step from the bubble of carbon dioxide,

And all other substances that promise to care,

Yet kill,

And open your eyes,

To the new unjaded city,

Far beyond the past smog and fake life you once shared will a million other

dreamers.

Forever young by Laura Rose

----------------------------------

Hold my hands within yours,

Comfort this fading woman,

She is no girl,

Do you not see her figure,

In the silhouette,

Her arms wrapped around her own shoulders,

Waiting 'til she can grow,

And love,

To become all she wants to become,

Have all she longs for,

Your eyes,

Your heart,

Your arms,

Fallen upon my shoulders.

Yet can the greatest flower,

Come from the smallest seed,

Within herself she sees but a straggling weed,

Among the dust,

The ages past,

The poetry and poets whose lines will forever last,

Let her breath from your air,

Carry her to your heights,

For the words she dare not say lurk not far beyond these lines,

And the spirit of youth together can conquer the highs of Fuji,

And overcome Pele,

And tumble the hate within love,

And it is this truth that will keep you together,

Forever young,

True to each other,

Blessed by an unseen angel,

Touched by each others hands,

Caressed inside this bubble,

This vacuum of sensuality,

And intellect,

Until the close,

The final curtain,

'til sunset upon your mountain,

Together you will stand hand in hand,

And after the end...............

You will be united in heaven.

Romeo died in his sleep tonight by Laura Rose

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cascading moon

Fall upon my naked skin

Mist of innocence

Drift down like the petals from a flower

Lilly white

Purity from above

Radiation of love

Of heat and all that lies inside

Romeo's lips

Those blushing pilgrims

Across my very soul

The angels flutter

In every breath he is in my lungs

Soft tears within

Mornings memory

Faded by the presence of today

That face and body

Worn by what is now gone

Leaving these dirty sheets

For me to wallow in

Prayer won't bring him to me

Maybe God doesn't approve

If he had why would he have taken my beau in his sleep?
