SoHo Loft Chatters & Friends
(the once and future haven of artists and other "bohemians")

Here's a list of people that I chatted with often at the SoHo Loft, and their (sometimes-old) websites that are still online. However, I haven't heard from them in awhile, so these links may not be entirely reliable.

Friends with websites that I can find
- but I'd love news (and new URLs?) from them:

  • alex/lexy/*giggle*FriendOfTori*sigh* is at (I love this name!) bitchandahalf.com, check it out. It's a thoughtful site, not just the part where she talks about the Loft when it changed to Java *sniffle*, but her observations on life, too. I've been enormously moved by her comments. Great pages!

  • Also visit Andre (Intergalactic Starman/Spaceman/Phantom) Micallef-Grimaud's art gallery and insightful pages - or email Andre (is this current?)

  • Beauregard has a very clever (older?) site at Paris/4057--keep clicking past the pop-ups for the full effect (and Beau, your SoHo mom misses you!)

  • Erika Penzer Kerekes was an infrequent chatter, but a great SoHo supporter and a staff member at GC. She left (as many of us did) when things... well, changed at GC. Read about her career leaps, since leaving GC.

  • Jennifer's website, The Astrophysicist's Tango Partner Speaks, is at a new URL and better than ever; in other words, amazing! - email her

  • LSL, our friendly lizard, has a fractured website at the old URL, but only the ARC Climbing page seems to remain, and his old SoHo photoalbum site at aznet is gone ...where is he now?

  • Number Six, aka Richard, maintains the impressive Irish Prisoner Home Page, and others... where?

  • Ophelia's Rocket has a 1997 date on her lovely Castle Elsinore, and her barbaral@nas.net mail bounces *sigh*

  • Polly from Australia is still the Big Scary Housewife, still poetic, still original, still delightful!

  • Sweet Sugarstar has a lovely--and sometimes startling--starland GC website. (Sugar is never predictable! *grin*) However, I'm getting bounced mail from all of her emails, and searching under her "real" name isn't helping. The one at AOL is an eighth grader, not our Sugarstar... Help!

  • Wingnut's Diary: Controlled Chaos, last updated 3/99 (okay, it's been a rough year) - email Wingnut
