Why does 7-11 (or any 24 hour store) have locks on the door?

Because they support the locksmiths
In case the manager wants to go bowling
It's company policy..indeed
In case of burglaries, so people can't get in and the robber can't leave!
they are secretly not open for 24 hours
to keep the store clerks in
you'd lock up too if mother nature called for it
This is a question not meant to be pondered by us simple folks.
   The answer lies in years of meditation and solitude
So they can lock the criminals in before they can get out
Strictly for adherence to local fire codes
To keep out the criminals
to lock in the criminals
Incase they go out of business and have to sell the building
if they have holidays they can lock the doors
They are not aware of the evil that lurks in the shadows
To keep me out
In case there is an emergency, and they have to go
For the day that they do inventory
Just to be safe at dinnertime
So no one can come in and see the crap they really sell

why is 7-11 called 7-11 when it's open all the time??

Security Reasons

Sometimes they are closed on holidays, or for repairs
just to make you ask the question

They can be open for twenty-four hours, just not consecutively
So people can answer stupid questions like this

So they can lock the door in case of disasters or riots
just because
Because that's just the way the world works!
So the manager can feel important and carry keys
so the store looks more official
they don't
its 24 hours, but not in a row
For people to have another key for there Key chains
always wondered that myself
To keep customers in when they see the prices
Just in case
They're not open on holidays!
why not?
so no one will steal the door
to protect to slurpees!!  duh!!!
so that the food won't escape
