Because, if they didn't Super Man woul fly in and snatch the evil convict person and then he woul take him to SPAM WORLD and the convict would have to work endlessly turning the crank on the ferris wheel. Since the convict is not very strong, the ferris w eel wouldn't turn and the people would get angry and take the convict to jail, and the convict would be right back where he started. Plus, the guy that let Super Man take the convict would get fired and then he would want revenge on the convict so before he convict can be taken back to jail for the second time, the guy might kill him. In conclusion, if you value you're life you should strilize the needle.

I think they sterilize the needle for a lethal injection because the person they're going to kill might grab the needle away from the doctor (or whoever does the injection) and stab them. This way, they won't be infected, and, hopefully, they'll get the eeldle away from the psycho before he squirts the death juice into them.
