Iomega 100 Meg Zip Drive Parallel PORT I've owned one of these for years. Since I have WIN311, you know that the drive will work on DOS, WINDOWS 95, 98, and NT.
What's the big deal? Iomega Zip Drive is the marriage between the convenience of a floppy disk and the space of a harddrive. Say you were working on a school or work project that required graphics and animations. If you were to save your project on floppy-- bring a forklift. If you saved your project on an Iomega 100-Meg disk or several 100-Meg disks, you could pop the device and disks into your briefcase or purse or book bag then head off to the next computer. It takes 10 minutes to install the setup software--and I'm no Joan-Pro but mine works! The device goes into your parallel port (or USB port) and allows for you to reconnect the printer to it, so you can Zip Drive and print. When the device is not there, the software for the Zip drive will not install. In PC, Zip Software Utilities autocheck for the drive at the start of each boot.
