To be Anti-Globalisation, is to be anti the current form of Globalisation, a form that exploits the poor of this world. We need to change from the current structure to one that means to be pro-community, pro financial responsibility, pro-humanity and pro-creativity. - we need to change what Globalisation means, not stop Globalisation entirely. To survive as a species, indeed we must Globalise, but we must do it with our humanity intact, with a view to the equality and dignity of all human life not just that of the West. We must look at devloping a form of Globalisation that has a scope beyond just exploitative capitalistic Trade and focus's on the Globalisation of Medicine, Eduction, Technology and Information.
Never has a negative statement been so positive. However to allow the pro's to happen we have to attack and dismantle the current structure of Globalisation, everything from the F.T.A.A. (Free Trade Agreement of the Americas) to the third world debt, from the Free trade zones, to the proliferation of branding. The Norse had a phrase for this process "Verrwung/Urrwung" the process of destruction and creation, the new is built upon the ashes of the old, you cannot build on an entirely different structure on top of a structure that already stands.
In recent years, it has become more and more obvious, that the real power, the real source of many countries national problems, goes beyond and above governmental level. The vast web of International Finance that influences and in many cases causes National decisions made by governments actually is based upon the edicts of organisations like the IMF (International Monetary Fund), the World Bank. These organisations exist primarily for the continued financial security of the worlds 35 developed nations, and specifically to allow the United States to continue its Cultural and Economic dominance over the world's stage. The International Monetary Fund (hereafter referred to as the IMF) and the World Bank (hereafter referred to as the WB) control the First Worlds lending to the Third. This lending, which is given under the guise of helping the developing nations out of an unstable financial situation, in fact, contributes to it. The loans are given with an incredibly high interest rate and as such, most of the countries that receive the monies, ie,......... have not yet managed to actually start paying back the debt, as they are only able to afford to keep up with the yearly interest payments and are never able to diminish the original figure that was lent to them by the IMF/WB.
These organisations are also responsible for the introduction of the FTAA (Free Trade Agreement of the Americas) the main implicaiton of this treaty, if ratified will be to subject the 35 developed nations of the world (and whichever na tions enter into that sphere in the future) to allowing multi-national (or trans-national as they now like to refer to them selves as) companies to sue individual governments for laws that the companies consider to interfere with their trade. The end result of which is that the citizens of the these countries will be subject to the creation of laws in their nation st ate which have not been introduced by either government or populus vote, rather by that of a company, which has no responsiblity, save to its profit. In effect, the erosion, if not negation of democracy. margins, shareholders and board of directors
How did these organisations come to be?
In 1945 at the end of the Second World War the IMF was set up by the United States of America in an effort to stabilise the post world war 2 global economy, its sister organisation the WB
