YOUR DAWN

The autumn day of your arrival.
Dying leaves, clinging to their past, await.
With the break of day, an alchemy begins.
Sunlight brings to life the withering earth-toned leaves.
The consequence of this chemistry -- Magnificence!
The light brings new and brilliant hues,
splashing across the vista.
Loudly colors scream their existence to a new found spirit.
The skyline blazes in the grandeur of nature's majesty,
engulfing all in its warmth and crowning splendor.
So it was --
Your light upon this autumn Oak.
By the rays of your presence a dark veil of apathy -- Lifted.
By your light the same renewed enthusiasm for LIFE.
Through your friendship Color and spirit effervesced.
And always now,
the forever anticipation of your next dawn.
