Sometimes I put my Bible down And try to wrap my mind around How big You are and how minute I seem. You made this world I'm living in, You scooped me from the depths of sin, The plans You have for me surpass my dreams.
I have to say I am amazed My songs can blend with angels' praise. You hear me when I worship and rejoice. And when I gaze at stars above, I feel so small, but sense Your love, I know You'll always listen to my voice.
How can it be that You will hear Each prayer I lift up to Your ear? I often take for granted that You're there. I know that with a simple call I come before Your throne and fall On bended knees and lift to You my prayer.
I find it hard to understand The strength and solace of Your hand. You comfort and protect me in this place. You know my future, seen my past, Today You lead down darkened paths, But one day soon I'll see You face to face.
And if I was the only one I know that You'd still send Your Son. Your love for me can reach my deepest need. So though I often feel afraid In this great universe You've made, I know You're not too big to care for me.
