Valentine's Year
'Love' is such a simple word.
It only has four letters.
But it's one of the strongest verbs.
There's really not one better.

I find it's often overused;
Not always understood.
Emotions sometimes can confuse
And do more harm than good.

Love is something that should grow
To overcome our fear
And be expressed so all can know
But not just once a year.

Now Valentine's Day can be fun.
A special day for love.
I have a question (yes, just one):
Is just one day enough?

We need to open up our hearts
And let our love flow out.
You'll like the feeling once you start.
It's what true love's about.

I'm not just talking about love
Between people that date.
Though that's where all this Valentine's stuff
Seems to concentrate.

We need to love our neighbors, friends,
Our family and such.
But do we love those who have been
Less fortunate than us?

We pick and choose who we will show
Our love and feelings toward.
While all the while we really know
We should love like the Lord.

Express the love you have inside
And do it twentyfour-seven.
For id you do you'll truly find
The love we'll have in heaven.
