The Deadly Fortuneteller
"You're going to die."
Dan didn't know what to expect when he entered the fortune tellers tent. He normally stayed away from fortunetellers. But the sign that guaranteed 100% accurate predictions intrigued him.
Dan stared into the fortuneteller's eyes. They were without expression.
"This guy would make a great poker player." He thought to himself. Out loud he said,
"Everyone dies eventually. Can you be more exact?"
"Before midnight." He replied.
Dan checked his watch. It was ten minutes to midnight.
"It's highly unlikely that I will die in the next ten minutes."
The fortuneteller shrugged then pulled out a gun.
"Hey! What are you going to do with that?" Dan asked.
Instead of replying the fortuneteller, fired three rounds into Dan's chest.
"Why?" Dan asked as his life slipped away.
"My predictions are never wrong." He replied.
