Daisy Chain

This necklace was made for Felicia's sister, Crystal.  The pattern was also found on the Beadworker site.  If you haven't yet visited her site now's the time to do so.
Garnet and Pearl Daisy Chain

Since daisies are all the rage right now I opted to create a daisy chain with a little more sophistication than the matte crayon box colored beads provide.
Instructions can be found here
This is a variation of the standard daisy chain.  After completing the standard necklace it looked bare to me so I doubled back on it.  For each 7 bead spacer I added 3 seed beads, went through #4 of the 7 seed beads, and then added 3 more seed beads to finish the section.  Detailed instructions to follow.  It kind of looks like leaves in between the flowers.
Allanah Daisy

My granddaughter, Allanah, wanted a "pretty" like her big sister, Andrea, so I made this daisy necklace.  Since Allanah is just 3 I needed to find a way to make it "grow" with her.  I opted to use heavier thread and to make spaces between the daisies.  There is no eye for the hook clasp, it just goes through one of the spaces.  The necklace can be adjusted to be a choker with a tail or a longer necklace.  As she gets older the necklace will automatically adjust for growth.

Isn't she beautiful?
