Greeting in the name of our most awesome Lorsd God.  It is our prayer that this finds you well and staying safe as you complete these months of winter.  ¡Muchisimas gracias!  Thank you so very much for all of your support and encouragement.  It is because of your continued and increasing support that we report wonderful things are happening in Dominican Republic.

Since returning in early December so much has been accomplished and yet much more needs done.  We have long awaited the arrival of the building supplies donated by several businesses in the Daviess County, Indiana area and arranged by members of the First Christian Church in Odon.  With little exception, everything arrived and no import taxes were assessed.  Other than shipping, storage costs until all is distributed, hauling expenses around the country, and minimal labor expenses,  what the customs assessed at $500,000RD value, cost us nothing.

Thanks to I.D.E.S. and many others, this was provided.  We could have very easily been charged with thousands of pesos in customs’ taxes alone but God is good.  He has worked through many of you to accomplish this task
and we are so grateful.  Through these donations, all Restoration Movement mission organizations in the DR are helping reach out to hundreds. It is so tremendous to see the look on people’s faces when we tell them we can help meet their needs.  One family, which you will hear more about, has been living in a house across from the present church building but must move out this week.  We were unaware that this was only temporary.  When Ramón went to check on the people after Hurricane Georges, he found Rubia’s family.  As he looked at their empty lot, he asked where was their house  and how had they survived the storm?  Rubia, who gave birth to their second daughter right after Christmas, replied, during the storm we stayed in the building shell, which is now our church building.  She also said, their house was “probably, over there somewhere”, pointing several hundred feet from where it once stood.  Now that we are aware of their needs, help is getting right to them.  Thank you for helping us, help them. Isn’t God awesome!

Sabana Perdida church buildiing.

The two churches, Los Palmares and Sabana Perdida, are coming along great! Both are really growing.  Ramón had 6 baptisms last month and Urbano is hoping 3 will make decisions soon. The Los Palmares congregation had to relocate to a different building which needed much work and the Sabana Perdida congregation has been squeezing into homes for worship.  With the help of a 5 man work team made up of Mike’s relatives from Zanesville, OH, the walls are up at Sabana Perdida and the electricity is in at Los Palmares.  Two more work teams are com ing in March.
