Let me teach my child to love God, his fellowman and his country.
Let me provide for my child a world free from worries, decisions and responsibilities of adults.
Let me protect my child from all who would exploit him.
Let me teach my child to respect authority in our home, that he may respect it through every area of life.
Let me teach him the value of discipline in work, in money matters, and in study.
Let me guide my child through the seven teenage years without undue interference from outsiders.
Let me choose for him until he is old enough to choose wisely for himself.
Let me say "no" to my child so long I am responsible for him.
Let me discourage my child from dreaming of rights without responsibility.
Let me help my child assume responsibility for his actions.
As I have given him life, let me guide his life, and if need be, let me help him pick up the pieces of that life.
He is my child.
He is my responsibility.
Let me be his parent.
*This is dedicated to parents with children. I salute you as I know how hard it is to bring children up whether they are male or female...hugs*
