We were getting closer and closer to the battlefield. I heard the whine of shells coming from the 8.8 FK 18 ATGs. I think the men of Meteor Strike had all their artillery firing simultaneously; all six hundred of them. Shells whizzed through the sky before hitting the city. I saw the city far away, it was already burning like the fires of hell. By the time we arrived on the scene, it would be hotter than hell.

Otto, Erwin looked very worried.

What's up, boy? Are you hungry again? I asked him.

There are some Ivans with anti-tank guns trying to block our way! He yelled right up to my face, so I could hear what he was trying to tell me.

Tell Westphal to take thirty-four Tigers, then Heinz and you will follow with six hundred men to wipe them out. Remember: take no prisoners! I ordered.

It was 0631 hours. I jumped in a PSW 234/2-8r and headed toward the fire-zone. All I could see on my way to Stalingrad were the dead bodies of Ivans lying on the ground. I hope Erwin didn't think that I really meant take no prisoners - that was only a joke, and one that had worn thin, at that. Nobody makes fun about men dying for their country. As my vehicle reached the western side of the city, I saw about fifty Ivans hiding in a thick bush waiting for me. I quickly fired my two inch gun at them. The Ivans ran away as fast as their legs would carry them.

Let 'em go! I ordered my men. Then I saw Heinz running towards me as fast as lightning.

Whoa, boy! What's the rush? I asked.

Oh, here you are, Otto. Erwin and his team have captured Stalingrad's best Thai restaurant. You can go over for that Thai breakfast you want it now, said Heinz.

Tanks! Tanks! Someone yelled.

Hold your fire! They're Tigers from Candy Store! I stopped the dummies from throwing their lunch boxes at the tanks.

Hey, Otto: your men were truly tough. Just look at all those bodies - and none of them are Germans, remarked Kesselring, head of Candy Store.

Well, my men informed me they've just captured Stalingrad's best Thai restaurant,I pointed out to Kesselring, who was the most deadly woman in SS Panzer Division One.

What about the City Council? she asked.

Oh, I think they bypassed that, Taking over the City Council was supposedly the main objective in Operation Candy Bar.

Weisch: you and Candy Store go and get it now. Kesselring ordered.

So, Obersturmbannfuhhrer Otto, can I join you and your men for a Thai breakfast?

Sure! Just don't order any Thai candies! I joked.
