Hello, my name is Stephen Lindsay. I'm a twenty-something, supposed
Gen-Xer... I developed a love for literature and writing thanks to an
amazing English teacher my senior year of high school. Sometime early in
the incomprehensible blur of my college career, (between meeting my wife
and starting my family) I developed a love of poetry. Writers like Jack
Kerouac, Kurt Vonnegut, and Walt Whitman (to name a very few) have all
greatly impacted my view of myself, and the world around me. I would like
to think that some of Kerouac's free-flowing thought, Vonnegut's gift of
social satire in the form of the absurd, and Whitman's beautiful
manipulation of the English language, have found their way into my poetry.
I would also hope that my style is as unique as I am. (the tattoos
pictured in the Misc. Poetry section are mine) Hope you enjoy reading my
work as much as I enjoy writing it!
