Brown Pelicans
I
photographed these ubiquitous symbols of the Florida Gulf Coast at the St.
Petersburg Pier in July 1994.
Just out of the picture is a bait shack that sells fish for the tourists to
feed the pelicans. The pelicans come flying from all over at the sight of a
little paper cup of fish. Jamie and Libby, of course, have fed the pelicans
numerous times.
