As I was looking for my friend to join in me in late evening 'teh tarik' chit-chat at my usual mamak store, someone called my name from behind.
I turned around and greeted him with salam. He was sitting with his friends at the next table. He was a former  police inspector who has gone into the business of HR development.

Sensing that I would be alone while waiting for my friend,he offered to accompany me for a while. When I asked him what he is doing,he told me an interesting business story...

He started with an amusing story. His company business is recycling people! As far I know, we only  do recycling of garbage. Now, he is talking about people. How is going to do that?

According to him, there are more than 100,000 students who passed SPM(O-level equivalent) who failed to get a place to further their education in Malaysia every year. His company offers these unfortunate students  jobs at selected factories to learn new skills. The good ones will be selected to go for further training overseas and when they come back later they will be offered to set businesses of their own choice under various franchised systems.

I feel this business of his is a very noble idea. So far,I see the relevant government department has failed to look into this subject matter. In the end, we will be importing skilled workers from overseas all the time and losing billions in foreign exchange. Currently, he has mobilsed 5000 students for this project. Kudos to him!

It only takes ordinary man with simple idea to help thousands of young people to be useful citizens,at the same time making money for himself.
This is the beauty of entrepreneurship....

On the other hand, I just wonder what the officers in the relevant government departments  are doing for this unfortunate group of people. May be they are still having meetings and seminars on how to help people.Shame on them!
