So strong yet so frail
His petals fall carelessly
Unaware yet knowing
Beautiful beyond description
Combined with a dark air
Will he avoid the snare?
Imprisoned glassy eyes
Reveal the pain
His laugh can not disguise the
pain
How shockingly he knows
What engulfs me at the core
His body may be distant
But his soul calls
Breaking through worldly
walls
Frightened to see
What the truthful light
beholds
Afraid to admit
The confusion which he draws
And continues to grow
A Light Within
A light within
Reaching ocean depths
Illuminating;
Open arms as well as an open
mouth,
A freegiving spirit
Moving steadfastly
Accepting limitations
Admitting imperfections
Gazing beyond fearful
possibilities
A Glimmering Flame
Not hidden in the misty
shadows
Rather, embraces the world
Modestly yet sincerely
Looking upon the doubtful
sky
It asks not when or why
Bravely traveling the path of
destiny
