Thoughts
to a Friend
A
loving friend,
A
friend who's loved,
You
are that.
Friend
Lover,
Lover
Friend.
Friend,
I love you!
Please,
Don't run!
This
love confuses me,
It
came without fanfare,
No
cupids darts,
No
skyrockets.
It‘s like my old faded jeans,
Or
my maybe my most comfortable shoes.
You
fit me.
Like
you were "made" for me.
I
am at my best with you.
You
make no demands.
No
criticism.
Being
with you,
I
feel peaceful, at home,
Like
I belong there.
What
is it between us, Friend.
What
is Lasting Love anyway?
We
both loved before.
Was
it lasting, easy, comfortable?
Could
we say the things and accept
The
thoughts from "Them"
We
accept from each other?
I
understand you.
It
is as if in another world our Spirits
Had
shared so much before.
Like
the fate of the Gods binds us,
Not
some paper and spoken words.
Do
these feelings scare you?
They
do me some.
Commitment
hurts;
My
past has told me,
But
I can not hide what I feel-
Not
committed, but too close
To
find so much to please me
And
still be denied the happiness this could bring
.
Happiness
is as illusive as love.
So
we should grab it when we can
And
be glad for what crumbs end in our hand.
Thank
you Dear Friend, for the crumbs,
And
the incredible pleasure,
And
for letting me ramble!
