I'm just beginning life, even though I'm in my early 30s. I spent the previous decade making lots of mistakes, but I did a few things right: I met a terrific man, Joe (kind, funny, smart, and gorgeous) and actually married him. Secondly, I decided to quit being practical and become a writer.

I was born in an army hospital in the late 1960s. The hospital charged my parents $8 for my birth. I share a birthday (July 7) with former Beatles drummer Ringo Starr and the notorious sex kitten Jessica Hahn.
My dad is a college professor, and my mom is an interpreter for public schools. They are both published writers. My sister Kathleen is a fashion consultant; she and husband Kip are the proud new parents of a beautiful girl. My brother Rob is in graduate school, training to become a professor of sociology. I'm lucky to have such a supportive family, and terrific in-laws as well! |

The beach is my home, and the climate very favorable. I usually write every day, although I also love to cook and entertain. We have a 30-foot sailboat that Joe races, and I'll sail too, if it's just for fun. My next novel will be about the sailing life, to which I have been so lovingly introduced.
