…[You Don't Know Me] also includes the greatly entertaining cynthia gooding folksinger's choice interview/performance. It is early bob, weeks before release of debut lp, performing many songs he frequently tackled at that time. the performances are a little stiff compared to other early recordings but the sound quality is so high it more than makes up for it. also, what really puts this over the top and makes it a must have for any serious fan is the ongoing interview. gooding is clearly blown away by dylan and recognizes something others probably didn't at that point, particularly when bob performs an original (emmett till). she seems infatuated with his talent and energy. most amusing are bob's lies and half-truths he tells about his past. gooding seems to believe him, though she might suspect him a bit when he retells his ridiculous life in the circus. she seems to even believe this though, sharing bob's supposed empathy for circus "freaks." performance also available by itself on at least one cd titled "folksingers choice."
