The Love Letter



My Beloved,

I must declare again how much I love you and how I long to be with you at this moment. If my love could be measured, you would find that it stretches from the farthest east to the farthest west. It is deeper than the lowest point of the ocean depths and higher than the tallest mountain peak. My love cannot be contained or held back by constraints, for it is stronger than the most powerful binding rope. My love for you is greater than words could ever express and more meaningful than symbols could begin to portray.

My love is unfailing--you must know that by now. You are my true love and I am and always will be there when you are in need. Through good and bad, joy and sorrow, sickness and health, my love will stay the same, strong and pure no matter what happens. We will face the trials of life together, you and I, and never shall you be alone or in lack of care. When you mourn, I will comfort you. And when you laugh, I will share in your joy and cheer. I am forever devoted to you. . . .

I cannot tell you how much you mean to me or what extreme measures I would gladly take for your well-being. My life I would lay down in an instant for you, my beloved. The cruelest death could not stop me from proving true my devotion to you, and torture would not change my mind. My love for you is greater than this lifetime can possibly hold, and nothing can separate my love from you. Nothing at all--because true love stands the test of time and circumstance. And my love for you is true.

Even when you paid no attention to me and denied knowing who I was, my love did not waver in the slightest amount. I knew within my heart that you would realize my love for you and take notice of my lasting devotion in time. Before you knew me, I knew you and loved you with all my being. I was overjoyed--ecstatic--to say the least, when you pledged your love to me and accepted my proposal of a life together forever.

My beloved, I encourage you to hold strong in your decision and remember my love for you while I am away. Be assured, I am there with you in your heart; my presence is right there beside you at all times. I have gone to prepare a place for us to live together forever, and I shall soon return to take you to our new home. Please, never doubt my love. Hold on to my promises and the words I’ve left for you. Take my love and keep it in the forefront of your mind, and know that you are in my thoughts constantly. My return shall be soon; be ready, the time is nearly here!
