I Was On His Mind
I was on His mind
When they placed a crown of thorns upon His head
And as He endured their accusations
He was thinking of me
When mockers spat and called Him names
And soldiers gambled for His robe
When the crowd cried "Crucify Him!"
I was on His mind
When they flogged Him near to death
When they nailed His hands and feet to the cross
And when they pierced Him in the side
I was on His mind
When darkness reigned for three hours straight
When He cried out "It is finished!"
And when He breathed His last
At that very moment, I was on His mind

Father, help me never to forget the sacrifice You made for me... I thank You that long before I was born I was already on Your mind...

Some Simple Rhymes
Jack and Jill went up a hill
To seek & find the Savior
Jack fell down on his knees at the sight
And Jill came solemnly after
Mary, Mary, so un-contrary
How does your garden grow?
"My grass may wither,
And my flowers may fade,
But my Rose of Sharon will live forever!"
1,2...If you only knew!
3,4...Do you wanna know more?
5,6...This is how I get my kicks;
7,8...On the road; narrow & straight!
9,10...My Lord loves all men!

Walking By Sight
One step in front of the other
I can’t see where I am going
There’s a light in the distance
But it’s so very far away
There’s brush along the side
And the path just keeps on winding
I’ve been taught to walk by sight
But now darkness overwhelms
Stumbling along I wonder
Is there another way?
Can I live without my sight?
And learn to walk by faith?
Is there One who will guide me?
And catch me if I start to fall?
Or draw me closer to the light
When I’ve strayed from the road?
One step in front of the other
I still can’t see where I am going
But I’m lead by something greater
And there’s a light yet in the distance
