Reflections
Crimson pool, a tiny cup--
reflections ripen
as I watch…
His blood drips
like pressed grapes,
liquid life
spilling to the ground.
Crushed
for precious flow inside,
body withers when drained.
I sip juice,
taste sweet in bitter,
feel mockery that pierced His skull
with spikes,
hear filthy words spat at purity,
witness humility give His life...
A final breath,
a trickle of blood...
This I do in remembrance of You.

Self
Lord of all, be Lord of me.
Oh Father, these eyes can't even see.
My mind revolves around my wants,
My desires--not Thee.
Self wants not an alter,
I faint and I falter.
A living sacrifice I'm called to be
But something stands in the way--it's me.
How my soul dislikes to die
Clings to comfort pleasing to the eye.
Self stands between us, I keep falling;
Yet softly, sweetly, Jesus is calling...
"Come, come, forsake it all,"
"Come, come." I hear Him call.
"Take up thy cross, follow Me.
Small shall seem all loss," said He.
Oh teach me, teach me Lord
To live like Thee with life outpoured.
Crucify my Self with Thee,
Purge Thy servant of all "me".
Thank Thee Lord for "grace upon grace".
Thou hast washed away my sin--
Left not a trace.
Thou hast given hope, a brand new day.
In my heart Lord, have Thy way.

Something's Changed
Something's changed
in me
as I fall
down and worship
You
at Your feet.
My tears fall
upon Your feet,
as Yours
cleanse me.
Make me whole
again. Show me
Your love
light that illuminates
down deep
within my soul.
The light that saturates
the corners
of my heart.
Flooding out
the temptation - the demons
that hide, that lurk.
Chase them away
with the fire.
The light.
And then
they vanish with one word -
one whisper
of Your voice.
