When No-one Is Watching...
When no-one is watching
Who am I?
When the costumes are discarded
And it's just me and God
No shows or acts to put on
Only sincerity
No rhymes or reasons
Just an unmasked heart
Forced to ask questions
And search for the answers
No pre-written replies
Or lines to recite
When the spotlight is off
And the curtain is drawn
Who am I
When no one is watching?

We Press In
We press in through the crowd
To receive our miracle
To be touched
To be healed
To be renewed
We search for a sign
Closer to the Messiah
Calling out His name
If only we could touch Him
We'd be forever changed

Destiny
Some men are destined
Called from the womb
For a purpose known only to God
And in the end His will is always done
Some women are appointed
Just like Anna
Who never left the temple
But attended to the prophecy of her heart
Some have seen Angels
Messengers of the Living God
Opening doors that seemed so long shut
And inflicting casualties in spiritual war
This is destiny
To be what God has designed
Ordained to be just who we are
Elected among the chosen ones
I come from His pot of clay
A vessel fashioned by His own hand
I come from the breathe of His Spirit
Some have walked with Him
And never tasted death
Taken away in chariots from heaven
And will come back again
Some have seen the fire
Of a burning bush that never seemed to burn
Stood on holy ground facing Him
And just could not bear to look into the Son
No man has ever seen God
His face is all of us that we cannot contain
No one has ever counseled Him
Not one of us knows His Holy Name
This is our bit in destiny
A life we live by faith
Created for the sheer satisfaction of The Eternal I Am
His reasons are beyond anything we could think or conceive

Blank Mind Syndrome
How am I
A little man
In such a small, small world
Ever going to comprehend
The kaleidoscope of Your splendors
To me it’s a real mind-bender
And oh my God,
When I think about how awesome You really are
How brilliant You must shine
How horizontal and parallel are Your lines
I must admit
I am unfit
And so I am left in…
A blank mind syndrome
And how am I
A man with limited sight
Supposed to see
All that you have done for me
Prepared a cross
And through His death
The infallibleness
Of Your wisdom
Gave sweet life to me
How could I
A man prone to such shallow heights
Ever realize the magnitude
Of the love that You exude
The stars that shine
The moon at night
The clouds that contain the thunder
The deep blue sea and all it harbors
The mountaintops
That You clothe in snow
The galaxies that seem just to go and go
The smile of a newborn child
And the mystery of this wonderfulness
Known to me as life
Whenever I am pulled to extremes
I just ponder on these things
And like a puff of smoke
All my worries
Turn to hope
I am mesmerized by the things that You have shown
Within Your word and in my heart
I will never completely understand
The length you went to redeem this man
And really all that I don’t seem to know
Well, it’s ok…
I sometimes enjoy the way
Your Magnificence
Leaves me in…
A blank mind syndrome
