"Without Condition" Album Review

New artist, Ginny Owens’s “Without Condition” CD has been one that I keep playing over and over at my house. Way before I even got her CD, I had claimed her “Free” song as one of my favorites. It’s a fun song with a light and cheery beat and a message that could be considered the Christian’s whole theme. But it only took a few times of listening through the whole CD for me to decide that all the songs are good. The title-track, “Without Conditions” is a soft song, musically, but a bold song lyrically. It speaks of God’s unconditional love for us, and how we should have that same unconditional love for others. ”If You Want Me To” is a song that has become my prayer since the first time I listened to it. It’s all about trusting God and going through the valleys and the fire if it’s where He wants you to be at the time. ”I Am Nothing” is a beautiful song, and one that I think all should listen to. Though I can’t think of one song off this album that I don’t like, ”Free” remains as my favorite song by this talented new artist.
What makes this album rate so high on my list of favorites? Well, Ginny Owens writes her songs about concerns that we all face as Christians. Her lyrics are poetic, yet down-to-earth, and not hard for anyone to figure out their meanings. On top of that, Ginny Owens has a unique voice and sings exceptionally well. She has a lot of talent, and her music reflects a heart that sincerely follows God. I’d recommend this album to all. It’s not loud music like a lot of other groups that most teens like, but it’s really good and definitely worth listening to. But don’t take my word for it….check it out for yourself! :)
