MISSION'S REPORT

Welcome to the Mission's Report section of 212 Degrees--Boiling Point for issue number 8!

Recently a good friend of mine went on a mission's trip to Mexico, and below is her "report" of the whole experience. (Thanks, Tara!)

But before you read her report, I want to say one more thing... If you have been on a mission's trip, I'd really like to feature your "report" here in the next issue. Please consider sending it to me! What you have to say might make the difference and encourage someone out there to get involved with a mission trip in the future. So get out your pen and paper (or word processor) and start writing!! (Well, after you've read this "report", that is.) Thanks!

MISSION TRIP TO MEXICO

I recently went to Tecate, Mexico for a youth missions trip. It lasted one week, but it was an awesome experience that I’ll never forget.

While visiting orphanages and broken-down villages, I learned a great lesson that I am so lucky to live in America. I think, before this trip, I took things for granted such as: running water, electricity, and my own bed. Now I look at things differently. Seeing all the less fortunate people made me think twice about my life, my family, and my friends. God has given me so much, and yet I didn’t even realize it.

Although we did what seemed like not very much, it was a great deal to the people we ministered to. I am so glad I was a part of it, and I encourage everyone to get involved with missions work; it’s so beneficial and life-changing.
