3) Lenina Crowne (one of the women that Henry Foster is seeing) is a Beta and a technician in the embryo room. She is described as being "uncommonly pretty" regardless of having lupus. He likes to be alone and also thinks that people should only have one sexual partner. Bernard is attracted to Lenina Crowne and has asked her to accompany him to the Savage Reservation. He doesn't like the way in which other men talk about women, especially Lenina. He believes that Henry and the other men are "idiots."
6) Fanny Crowne is a Beta who works in the bottling room at the hatchery. She is described as being sensible. Fanny is concerned that she may be pregnant. She is a friend of Lenina's and urges her to see other men besides Henry Foster. Fanny also warns Lenina of Bernard Marx's strange reputation.
