--Kasey's Story # 13--

Something Weird
One day in March break, Amy asked her friend Mel if she wanted to stay over for 2 days. She was allowed.
Amy is 12 years old. Her hair is brown and long. Her eyes are brownish-green and she always wears green.
Mel is also 12. Her hair is blond, long and straight. She has blue eyes and loves to wear dresses.
The first day they decided to bike to Amy's Uncle's house. When they arrived at the house 
the door was open, so they went in.
"BUZZ" "BUZZ". What was that? Amy said as they climbed the stairs to the attic. They could see a glow through the cracks in the door.
the door was open.
Mel slowly reached for the doorknob
and turned. She "GASPED" as the door swung open. They stared at all the weird stuff.
In the corner there was a funny looking object. It was as big as a dog with a long knife on the end. In another corner there was a shower stall that had buttons and switches all over it.
Then they saw a closet with it's door open wide and inside was lots and lots of costumes. There was a space suit, a cave man's shall, a cape, a wizard outfit and a witch one too!
In the middle of the room there was a table 
with weird objects that looked like they were made a long time ago.
They found a microscope
and a pair of glasses. 
When they put the glasses on they could see through anything. "This is cool" said Mel. Just then they could hear footsteps, so they stepped into the shower stall and hit a button!!
There was a "FLASH" and a bang and when the stall stopped moving they could hear birds singing so they stepped out and looked around. They were surrounded by tall palm and other kinds of trees.
They had no idea where they were. Suddenly they heard a roar and loud stomping. The sound got "LOUDER" and "LOUDER". "AAAAAHHHH!!!!"
They looked up and there staring down at them was a huge, angry "T-REX". Mel and Amy ran and screamed at the top of their lungs. Mel hid behind a rock but Amy kept running. She ran and ran until she stopped. "OH NO", she thought as the ground beneath her began to fall down into a giant pit!
Amy yelled and prayed "GOD" would save her. She fell onto a perch where she stayed crying for help. "Amy is that you?" Mel asked looking down. "Yes, it's me. HELP Mel HELP!!!" cried Amy. "Hold on, I'll make a ladder and come and save you." Mel said.
She found a pocket knife that she had left in her coat and got to work. She cut bamboo trees and used it's stalks to make a ladder. She put it down into the pit and Amy climbed up. When Amy was almost up the ladder it broke, but Mel grabbed Amy's arm and pulled her up.
"Thank you so much. You're a real friend Mel" said Amy, as she hugged her best friend. The two stayed close to each other and walked away from the pit, to the shower stall to go home.
When they found the stall they got in and hit a button that said "REVERSE". "BING, CLANG, POP, PING!!!" went the machine.
"What are you doing in here?" asked Amy's Uncle Sam. "It's a long story and we have to be going" answered Amy.
The girls walked down the stairs and out the door and got on their bikes, waved good-bye and left.
The next morning the girls stayed in Amy's room talking and playing board games so they wouldn't have to explain the bruises and cuts on their legs and arms. But everytime Amy or Mel stepped into a shower stall they remembered what happened so long ago.
