Winters Spirit The Eagle is sacred to most Native people, because of its ability to take messages to the Creator. In this painting the girl is giving thanks to the Great Eagle Spirit for guiding her to the heard. The Eagle is one of the winged ones who flies highest and sees life most clearly. Although Eagle, the messenger to a Spirit Keeper befriends the two legged ones, guiding us toward the Great Spirit, the majestic bird that lives on the earth plane avoids humans in order to protect his young and his life.
