Winters Trail The voices of my ancestors called to me as I painted this one. More than 4,000 Cherokees died on the "Trail of Tears" along the way to Oklahoma. The Cherokee Nation refers to the forced migration as "Nunna da ul-tsun-ji" (Trail where they cried). "We should study each other's heritage like we study American history. All of us have a heritage, and it's important that we celebrate it." Framed with white rabbit fur. 26 x 26" $ 175.00 |
