And You Exist No More

The old trail we used to walk
      I still remember.
The old way we used to talk
      Soft.. and tender..
Introduced me, you held my hand
      Your sweet friend I was..
      You were the only man
      My heart'd come across..
Faithful dog sat by your knees
      I was for many years
      and you looked over me
      Maybe.. I was too near..
      My love was for granted
      Knew not you've been given..
      You got all  you wanted
      You'd not earned it even..
      Quietly one morning mist
      I walked away from you..
      Tearful.. my last kiss
      "I will remember you.."
      And I remember you
      Sending you my wish..
      Whatever you do
      You should know you're missed..
      The old trail we walk
      With our friends you come
      I smile, about to talk
      You look away..and I'm numb

I look at you, dry eyes.
      A man who I adored
      I look into my mind..
      And you exist no more
