You're The Stars

        Virtual people
        In virtual places
        Fantasy features
        And make believe faces
It was there that I met you
Might as well have been Mars
You're the stars baby, the stars

It is there that I'm with you
At the end of each day
        It's while others are sleeping
That I come out to play
        But it's hardly a game
When your words can leave scars
You're the stars baby, the stars

This may sound kind of strange
        But I've found life again
Like my head hangs out the window
        Of some runaway train
And I ache to be with you
It's like I'm trapped behind bars
You're the stars baby, the stars

        This place is so crowded
        A virtual city of sin
        Sometimes it's like we're together
On the head of a pin
Wish we could just drive away
        In our virtual cars
You're the stars baby, the stars

        I know few people here
I kind of like it that way
I know you don't feel the same
Guess it's the one price I pay
But I'd hate to be drowning
        In a sea of avatars
You're the stars baby, the stars

Why does time pass so quickly
When I'm alone with you here
Why do I always feel empty
        When you are nowhere near
Close my eyes and I'm hearing
        Soft, sad singing guitars
You're the stars baby, the stars
