MY ROMEO

Usually referred to by me as The Demon Cat From Hell, Romeo is many things to me. Not just an average feline, Romeo is my buddy, my shadow, my confidant, my clown, my furry worry, my exasperation.....and a living, breathing, purring work of art who has allowed me to adopt him. (With the help of my family, who knew that I needed a cat in my life.) From the time I picked him up from my friend's house, I realized that Romeo needed a name that truly reflected his classic good looks and devilish charm. After considering many worthy handles, I decided that no name would describe him better than "Romeo".
As a kitten, Romeo loved to feel secure
and often slept in this little gift basket.

Just like a human toddler, little Romeo played
until he passed out..no matter where he was.
As could be expected, this cat has many facets
to his personality, and delights in surprising us with
behaviors that range from "serene royalty"
to "wild child".
Romeo grew up with computers and has decided
that my computer chair makes a cozy nap spot.
The handsome devil in the lap of luxury...
on Vanessa's bed.
He knows she's a soft touch.
From his perch on the deck, Romeo maintains
security by ensuring that the area
is free of all small mammals and birds.
If they have wanted posters,
I'm certain his picture is on one. I don't
like the fact that Romeo uses his hunting skills
on the little animals here, but I have given
up trying to change him and he cries pitifully if I
keep him inside all the time. I am learning
to appreciate him the way he was created.
Morgan took this picture of Romeo while he was
resting under the maple tree in our back yard.
The spring greenery really accents his beautiful eyes.
Romeo really seems to enjoy lounging in the shade and the
foliage. It reinforces his "wild child" image.
