 father of Tefnut;
 known as the Lord of the Universe



















 
Horus
 son of Osiris and Isis;
son of Osiris and Isis;
 concieved when Isis brought his father back to life after being murdered;
 known as the falcon-headed god



















 
Maat
 goddess of truth and justice;
goddess of truth and justice;
 represented as a tall woman wearing an ostrich feather in her hair;
 she balanced her feather on the hearts of the deceased in order to determine whether he/she had led a pure and honest life,
 thus Maat is known as the "judge of the dead"



















 
Set
 god of chaos and sandstorms;
god of chaos and sandstorms;
ruled the barren desert and the sea; 
brother of Osiris,Nephthys,and Isis;
Ra married him to his sister-Nephthys;
 murdered Osiris because he was jealous of Isis and Osiris's true love;
 brought to justice finally by Isis and Horus

woman with head of a lion, which was her sacred animal;

 carried a scroll and pen to record all things;
 served as the messenger for the gods



















 
Isis
 goddess of women;

 looked after the affairs of the day while her sister-Nephtys-looked after the night;
 sister to Set, Osiris, and Nephtys;
 mother to Horus; married to Osiris by Ra;
 portrayed as the force of love that can bring new life out of old;
 referred to as the Great Mother Goddess
