"A man reveals hi character even in the simplest things he does." -- Jean de La Bruyére

I thought things were going to get better-
It was my boss Rick's Birthday, well, not really his birthday, but he still took the day off. Rather than being productive, my day at work ended up a race from one dead end to another, and in the end I was a little further behind the 8-ball.

The temprature was nearly 90º, which means the temperature in the house is about five degrees higher. I have been desperately seeking an affordable, used window air conditioner to help make summer bearable. A friend of mine at work has a nice big one for $200. I don't have $200 bucks to spend, but my father in-law was looking to upgrade, and said he would give us his older one.
Monica didn't like the idea of Ted getting the cool new one, and us getting the hand-me-down....I say beggars can't be choosers.

As the sun finally set, around 9:15pm, and the air started to cool, I prepared a late dinner of barbequed hotdogs and cheeseburgers and ran to the video store to get some entertainment for Calvin and Tiffany.

The double feature started at 10:00pm, and I started cleaning the dishes, and doing the ritual late night "strightening up".

1:30am and the movies end... amazingly everyone made it through both movies without slumbering, really amazing considering Monica and Tiffany stayed up nearly all night the previous night talking.

As the kids went to bed, I finished putting away laundry, and figured my day was done. I was wrong. At 2:00 am Monica angrily informed me that she was sick...so I went to the store for medicine. At 2:30am she informed me that the medicine I got was one she already had.
Another trip to the store. It's gonna be a long weekend.

no fun.
