3/7/99 Sunday

WEEKEND REPORT

Here comes the sun.
Though I hardly made it out of the house this weekend, just having real sunlight filter in through the windows was enough to start a little chain reaction.

Friday night, Calvin and I fell asleep on the floor in front of the TV, Monica fell asleep on the couch. The next morning Monica woke up to yet another headache that curbed her for most of the day. The big event for Calvin and I was going to Downtown Portland to find "Blazers on Broadway": Purveyors of all things related to our local NBA Basketball team. The kid and I drove around for a while and then finally went into "Nike Town" to ask for directions. It turns out that the place went out of business last year. Calvin was bummed. So he and I drove up to "The Nike Employee Store" where I let him buy a basketball.

Sunday began much like Saturday.
Monica was immobile for the first half of the day, then when she finally was up and functioning, it was nearly 3:30pm and she was in a foul mood. She gripped about the condition of the house, the lack of projects that were accomplished over the weekend, and that she did everything around the house. SHE does everything?!?
I took a deep breath, bit my toungue and just continued working on the house...letting her rant and vent.

When the dust cleared on the weekend, there were a few projects that now had "check-marks" by them. There were other big things I wanted/needed to get done over the weekend including a small freelance job that would earn us a little more birthday money for Katie & Calvin (April 24th & 28th respectively), but I'm gonna try not to stress over those things this weekend, and just enjoy the sun.

Of bigger concern to me is the fact that I can't stay focused at work and that I am falling behind in some of my projects. that has to change soon!

Attacking the week like a pit-bull.
