"Everything is funny as long as it is happening to somebody else." -- Will Rogers
9/21/99 Sleepless in Vancouver

Pour me another cup of coffee.

I hate it when life gets so busy that it becomes impossible to keep up. Life is usually going at a pace that keeps me sprinting from one task to another...every waking hour of my day. That of course means I'm not prepared for the (not so) occasional curve balls that get thrown at me.

Life was already difficult- I have Shelby living at my house... Monica has been out of it with migraines, and toothaches, the kids are back in school (which may seem like less work, but it really isn't.) I normally find that from the time my alarm goes off at 5:45 am to the time my head hits the pillow; around 1:00am, there is more than enough to keep me occupied and precious little quality time for myself.

So what happens if you upset the balance?
what if I need to cram one or two more activities into my full schedule? Like a broken Festiva? a broken dryer? Monica being too sick to get up before 2pm on Saturday and Sunday. Looming deadlines, and a stupid freelance job for Monica's uncle.
What gives?

Well, sleep had to be sacrificed so that I could meet a deadline at work. Now, with very little sleep, I need to find the time to fix my dryer...and my car... before I can get back to my good old fashioned hyperactive "riggamaroll".

I'll just nap on my commute.
