You Can Be Strong
You Can Be Strong
In this world of confusion,
In this lifetime of pain,
Relationships end
like a fresh summer's rain.
Like the bite of a dog,
Like the sting of a bee,
Some things that you long for
were never to be.
The thoughts will soon fade.
The pain will subside.
From hearing "I love you,"
and knowing they lied.
You can be strong.
You must carry on.
The lights may be fading.
The road may be long.
Love happens each day,
and sometimes you find
that you're forging ahead
when they're lagging behind.
When it's your time,
You'll know that it's right.
You'll find you're in love
with no attached fight.
Keep your heart warm.
Keep your head high.
With your feet on the ground,
and your head in the sky.
Look to your family.
Look to your friends.
Their love is undying.
A chain with no ends.
