Smothered

Guarded under heavy watch
from over-piercing eyes.
Wrongly held responsible
for not believing lies.

Somehow lost within a maze
without a destination.
Drawn into an unsure love.
Denied a hesitation.

Promptly forced unwillingly
to show unfelt emotion.
Expected to accept with ease
the feeling of commotion.

Trying hard to fight the urge
to let myself give in.
Unwilling to succumb once more
to something I can't win.

Showered with unwanted love
I never will reture.
Urged to realize what I lack
and quickly forced to learn.

Shown the light, but still I choose
to dance within the fire.
Smothered under heavy force
or love I don't desire.
