Society's to Blame

Society's to Blame

Death has fallen upon us.
Innocence is lost.
Forced to live out life like this
does not come without cost.

The things we learn as children
can never help prepare
for tragedies that come to us
in moments of despair.

Blinded by society.
What's right and what is wrong.
Fills our heads with vicious thoughts
that flow in violent song.

Glancing through confusion
to find the truth in sight
can bring a world of darkness
a ray of golden light.

For life will always shelter
and cover both our eyes,
but souls can see the truth within,
the layer soaked with lies.

Life can be renewed once more,
but never be the same.
Our innocence can not be found.
Society's to blame.
