Silent Stranger

Silent Stranger

Dignity,
ripped from my soul.
Hopes and dreams,
smashed to the ground.
Foolish pride,
playing a roll.
Self esteem,
gone without sound.

Smiles on faces,
expecting a mirror.
Friendly gestures,
unnoticed are gone.
Deadly heart,
living in terror.
Everyday life,
keeps moving on.

Guises flaunted,
to hide the dispear.
Lies told,
sworn never to tell.
Daily life,
looked on in fear.
Silent stranger,
Imprisoned in hell.

Beckoning urge,
to end the pain.
Secret thoughts,
tragedy's pawn.
A quick feeling,
like steel through a vein.
Troubles unnoticed,
till all life is gone.
