Tomorrow Never Comes

Tomorrow Never Comes

Tomorrow never knows what Today has experienced.
They never meet, coming nor going.
Tomorrow doesn’t know the hardships Today has seen.
The pain, the killing, the deaths.
It only knows that is yet to come.
Today tries twice a year with valiant effort to warn Tomorrow.
To tell it of the troubles to watch out for, but never succeeds.
Tomorrow is forever in the dark, for it never is truly here.
Many people look forward to when Tomorrow comes,
Yet many people fear it’s shear existence.
Today continues to be the only existence we know.
For Today knows nothing of Tomorrow,
Much as Tomorrow knows nothing of Today.
In the dead of the night, when the black birds fly through the air,
So thick you could cut with a knife,
You may see Tomorrow coming,
But before it is clearly in sight,
You will find that it is merely Today in disguise.
Masked by the night, forever in darkness, Tomorrow never comes.
