"If I should die this very moment I wouldn't fear.
For I've never known completeness like being here."
-Gorechi

Lamb are officially a duo, featuring Andrew Barlow mixing and on sythesizers, and Louise Rhodes on vocals. However, when I've seen them live (that'll be twice now, then) they're a fourpiece, featuring a trumpeter and doublebass player. In a vague attempt to catagorise the kind of music they play, I guess it's pretty much drum and bass, but I'm really not to hot on labelling music types!

As a live act, they are the best I've seen. I saw Lamb at The Junction in Cambridge in 1997 and again in 1999, and they've just been phenomenal both times. Live gives their music the volume it deserves, and it reverbarates around your chest. The entire band looks like they really love performing, and enjoy it more when the audience is having fun too. And the live version of Gorechi is amazing. If you get a chance, go see them. Really.

They've got a new album out on May 17th, so expect to see that on my shelf soon!
