The Blues Collector
Blues Collecter.Midi
She was a collector of the broken hearted,
a connoisseur of the lonely souls
she painstakingly sought to encompass
in her tenderness.
Her mystique quieted the rage
of life's unjustness.
She reveled as inlets of recovery grooved
themselves into her assemblage.
She soothed them with lyrics of love,
as her melody began to heal their injured hearts.
Soon harmony began to emerge from within the downtrodden,
and music lived where music had died.
Eventually with solo voices, in unison they raised,
not to sing her praises,
but to berate the concert
as merely a falsetto.
As her voice was muted,
she become an antiquated reminder
of the blues
in her own collection.
