COMPOSITION

If I could compose compassion into a lullaby,
I would sing it to the hushed voices wanting to be heard.
If I could write a symphony,
I would write it for the silent souls in the world.
If I could, I would orchestrate lonliness into strenght,
so the quiet of heart could balladeer over pain.
It would be a melody to proclaim victory over sorrow,
A tune terminating sadness.
A song promoting forgiveness and understanding,
a song to replace solitude.
A syncopated overture to emotions held dormant, a release of fear.
So love's exquisite tranquility could fill the void.
